Florida boating is like no other boating anywhere in the U.S.  Florida offers boaters an island-like experience without ever having to use a passport.  Whether you prefer boating Panama City and the surrounding warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico or the cooler waters of the Atlantic and boating Jacksonville area, there are endless opportunities for making boating memories in the Sunshine State.

Boating Panama City and other areas of the Panhandle can provide boaters with both relaxation and adventure.  You can choose to anchor out and enjoy the gentle motions of the Gulf while rafting up with friends, or you can head out to deeper waters for excellent sport fishing.

In fact, the fishing all along the coast of Florida is exceptional; fishing Cape Coral and the surrounding areas is an experience to be remembered.  Spanish and King Mackeral are prolific in these areas of Southwest Florida’s coastline.  Red fish, grouper, tarpon, dolphin and wahoo can also be found.

Though most people might first think of Florida’s beautiful coastlines when they think of getting out on the boat, Central Florida also offers great freshwater fishing destinations.  From Lake George to Lake Kissimmee to the many rivers in and around the area, when you’re out on the boat, Central Florida offers just as many excellent boating locations as the rest of the state.

Boating Jacksonville and south along Florida’s east coast provides dozens and dozens of wonderful cruising and fishing locations.  Whether you choose to sightsee in St. Augustine, lay anchor near the cruise ships of Port Canaveral, or waterski near Vero Beach, the ICW provides the perfect waterway for meeting all of your Florida water adventure needs.

When you think of boating in Florida, chances are good that your first image is that of the celebrity playground Miami.  When you boat Miami waterways, you never know whom you may run into.  With many celebrities choosing to make Miami area their home away from home, chances are good that when you boat Miami you could be sharing waves with a famous face or two.

Florida is hands down the best boating location in the U.S.  If you don’t live here, you may wish you did once you’ve had a chance to get out on the boat in Florida.
